Is Arguing Good for Marriage

By Shawn Michaels

It is sometimes said that couples that never argue are couples who no longer love each other, and do not have feelings for one another. In this light, arguments are not so bad, as they show that the couple still has feelings and the arguments are eventually a manifestation of their love. Be careful and pay attention, making sure that your arguments are not too frequent or it will have a price over your relationship.

It is how you deal with the arguments that will be telling on the relationship. If you allow arguments to ruin your bond, they will. If you allow arguments to get the better hold of your judgment, you will make the wrong decisions. If you allow arguments to cloud your vision of what should be done, you will never be able to do the right thing. Sometimes arguing is necessary to reach good decisions as a couple, but you should do so with respect and good communication, so you do not harm your spouse's emotion.

Arguments are, at core, based on clash of pride. If you let your pride control you and manifest on your relationship this is how it is going to look, and it is going to harm your relationship. It is better to set it aside for the sake of your marriage, and do not let it affect your relationship and bond. Achieving a solution is usually much more satisfying then continuing to argue.

Many believe that you should not let the day pass without settling a quarrel. It is generally good advice to prevent bad feelings residue stay through the night, and fix the issue at hand easily and while it is still small. Not solving the issue when it begins can lead to a making it bigger and a longer argument. Many couples practice this and they praise it to be effective. Try to reach a compromise before the night is through and you're bound to enjoy many happy days with your loved one.

Different Ways To Save A Marriage

By Cicero Julius

Marriage trouble can be very daunting and make you doubt your own thoughts and feelings. When you're in the middle of it, it might be difficult to take a step back, and look at it objectively. However, if you can do that, you will see that there are ways to save a marriage that are not difficult to implement, and that offer lifelong results.

Look at the respect level that you share with your spouse. Do you allow each other to have your own space? You were two people with separate lives before you got married, with your own interests. It's important to maintain your identity inside the marriage as well, because that interesting person is the one your spouse fell in love with. So make sure you are taking time to refresh away from each other on occasion.

Taking care of yourself on a personal level is important on so many levels. When you forget to take time to put on that makeup or wear those special clothes, or even wear that nice cologne you love so much, then you are missing out on helping yourself feel confident and ready to face the world. Pampering yourself gives you the look you need to feel great about yourself and put your best foot forward during the day.

Don't keep your thoughts to yourself. Think of how you feel when you don't know what your spouse is thinking--is it comfortable? Do you feel like you to have to walk on eggshells as it were? Don't put them in that situation, and always share your thoughts and feelings in a calm and rational manner. When they feel safe talking to you, and know you're not going to blow up like a volcano, your spouse will be more willing to discuss their private thoughts and you will become closer as a couple.

If your marriage has been blessed with children, treasure them at all times. That means don't argue in front of them or expose them to adult stresses that they are not emotionally equipped to deal with yet. Showing them the right way to disagree will give them a skill they can use all their lives, and will let them know that you respect them as much as you respect your spouse.

Date nights are important also. When the romance is gone, it is because two people have given up. No other part of your marriage is under your control as much as that portion, and it's up to you to keep the excitement of dating continue on through your lives together. Words are great, but actions make memories, which create a lifelong bond between two people. When looking at ways to save a marriage, keep one thing in mind--it begins with you.
