Saving a Marriage

By Samantha Kate

People think that getting married is the final game and that it means the ultimate security. What they do not know is when someone gets married; they come into a situation where they have to double their efforts to make the relationship work.

Aside from dealing with the relationship, they have to handle with getting their bills paid or bringing up their kids well. This is when anger builds up. Little do they know, they have fallen into the trick where marriage is not blissful, anymore. But there is a way outside this trap. There is a way to save the marriage.

First, they must learn to forgive each other. Dwelling with issues of the past will do them no good. To be able to heal, they must have unified growth and start healing from the problems of the past. Letting go of any grudges would do great.

Second is to center on each other's happiness. Even if they both have careers to develop and maintain, they have to make sure that they find moments to date or spend some time alone together. Going on a date means remembering the passion that they once felt for each other before they got stuck up with all the problems.

They have to be very intimate with each other. Finding time despite the seriousness will maintain the passion and will also make sure that they continue their love for one another. Sleeping side by side is not even the same with actual making love.

Marriage should not end because no one tried to save it. It should continue despite the troubles. And it will, if the partners find the courage to make sure that it doesn't. The key lies on the partners. If they really love each other, they will do the necessary things to make the bond continue.
